Hi, to expand a bit more on what I’m presenting here. Also, I’m not sure if everyone knows, but there are quite a few dead links on Osmosis Grants. If anyone can confirm whether this is still the best place—or point me to where—to reach the optimal people to review what I have here, that would be great.
TrustChain is a reputation system for Osmosis liquidity providers (LPs). It works a bit like a credit score or Yelp rating, but instead of collecting subjective reviews, it builds a reputation score directly from on-chain behavior: real liquidity positions and real transactions.
At a high level:
For traders: TrustChain makes it easier to route volume through “proven” liquidity, reducing the chance of interacting with shallow or toxic liquidity that exists only to farm incentives and extract MEV.
For LPs: Real LPs can build a persistent, wallet-based reputation that reflects their history of providing deep, stable liquidity over time. This gives them a way to stand out from sybil farms and transient mercenary liquidity.
For Osmosis: The protocol gets a new primitive it can plug into incentives, routing, and UI – for example, “prefer LPs above X reputation when routing,” or “boost incentives for LPs who maintain good performance and low churn.”
More concretely, the completed version is designed to:
Track a wallet’s real liquidity positions on Osmosis (pool shares, duration, and behavior) and convert that into a reputation score that is hard to fake and expensive to manipulate.
Use a daily claim mechanism that ties reputation growth to on-chain activity, while capping how fast any single wallet can grow, which helps resist sybil attacks and “flash” behavior.
Expose a simple API / on-chain interface so the main Osmosis frontend and other DEX UIs can show reputation badges, leaderboards, and filters (e.g., “route via LPs with reputation ≥ N”).
Provide a foundation for future incentive models: bonuses for high-reputation LPs, stricter requirements for boosted pools, and governance tools that can distinguish long-term aligned LPs from short-term extractive actors.
The current MVP demo already shows the user journey (connect wallet → perform an action → see reputation update). The grant funds would be used to harden the contracts for mainnet, integrate with real LP data, and add the interfaces Osmosis needs to plug reputation into routing and incentives, so the system can start improving capital efficiency and LP quality in production.
