Persistent IBC Timeout When Transferring ATOM → KYVE (24 Nov 2025)

Hello Osmosis team,

I am experiencing a repeated issue today (24 November 2025) with IBC transfers from ATOM on Osmosis → KYVE. Every attempt throughout the entire day results in the same error:

“IBC Timeout”

Here are the details:

  • Several IBC transfer attempts were made between morning and evening

  • All of them ended with timeout

  • The funds are correctly returned to my Osmosis address after the timeout

  • No public announcements or maintenance notices were found about IBC delays

  • Other IBC transfers (to different chains) seem to work normally

This suggests that the IBC relayer for the Osmosis → KYVE channel might be down or not processing packets.

Could you please check:

  1. Whether the Osmosis → KYVE IBC channel is currently active

  2. If the relayer is running properly

  3. Whether there is any known issue on Osmosis or KYVE side

  4. If users should avoid IBC transfers to KYVE until the channel is stable

I can provide the transaction hashes as well if needed.

Thank you in advance!

It looks like the channel is operational but the majority of relays have been failing for the last day - IBC Cross-Chain Explorer | Transactions

Memos on successful transactions indicate that the relayer is funded by Kyve - would check in with them to see if there are any issues with it.

The problem persists. I tried to

swap tokens from Atom to Kyve via Osmosis - the package was blocked in osmosis blockchain (KYVE on Osmosis).
