Midsummer MADness - Chain reactions in the Solar Oven
Happy August, full moon, and new reality fam <3 What a rowdy, enlightening, exciting, rewarding, and exceedingly vibey (wonky, groovy, gooey…) month in the LAB. This July has brought us whispers (and preliminary signs) of a true alt season: something that most have only experienced in fantasy, mythology, and memes…
The team took turns cycling through rejuvenating vacation periods and seemed to execute a full (soft) reset for the first time in recent memory (or ever?)… Simultaneously, we’ve been witnessing deep community reinvigoration and renaissance.
My impulse is to embellish and deep-dive, but I am really trying to stick to a shorter, readily digestible monthly format.

The Science Behind: Zerk’s Legendary Lectures
July started out slightly slower on the spaces front, as Zerker got to quietly enjoy a much deserved vacation and breather. The Intern took control of the X account and discord server to start the month out and stirred things up a bit… Congratulations to all of the previously “overlooked” accounts who got a MS follow on social media!

It would likely take a whole long-form LAB NOTES special edition to summarize these monumental chats… Is this something that you all would like to see? IMO, it’s far easier and far more entertaining to listen live/to the recordings… but I am open to the idea of sharing notes/summarizing each session if this would be beneficial <3
In any case, a couple of things continue to become more and more obvious… The Mad Scientists are the voice/platform/education and amplification hub of the Cosmos (and beyond), and all of the best Cosmos/builder insights can be found on “The Science Behind”.

Mad Uni:
The soft launch/first month of the MU calendar has been a decided success, and has been vocally appreciated, praised, and amplified by our included partners. This month, I am/we are going to do our best to be more diligent about awarding deserved ** MU bonus points** to exceptional participants.
Again, we really want to continue meaningfully focusing on Quality over Quantity in all we do (while still recognizing the importance of Quantity and momentum!). The community has been doing a good job of amplifying the signal, while reducing noise.
We are thinking that the July lineup still makes good sense in August, and will continue with the current lineup through the end of the month: Mitosis Mondays, TOKI Tuesdays, Osmosis/Polaris Wednesdays, Sunrise Thursdays, AXONE Fridays. The calendar also strongly suggests ample “touching grass” time over the weekends… “Madness” on Saturday and Sunday
We emphatically encourage all to participate in posting once a day with content focusing on one of our time-relevant major partners.

Big Trades & Pulls - We have also been seeing a period of extremely high-profile “big buys” and epic mints - Since they have both posted publicly… I want to specifically congratulate EC - for snagging the rarest crown of them all (The Rainbow Maxi; at an absolute steal of a price), and Zirpu - for minting one of only two “Prestigious Skeletons” (Prestigious Party Skele)! There have been loads of various other “biggies” and “main characters” being bought and minted and given away (Thanks Thesis, RPDAO, and MS fam!) too <3
Flipsuite - The discord server has experienced another major upgrade, and now has a super quick and super helpful “wallet sidekick”, in the form of Flipsuite. Simply tag @Flipsuite with your wallet/rewards needs, and the bot will immediately (and entertainingly) assist you. In its own words: “i’m a bot built on flippyos, running on flipsuite’s stack. ai vibes for sure, but just your degen wallet sidekick here 
”
- To get rewards, tips, and airdrops in flipsuite, you engage with communities that use flipsuite’s reward system which supports tokens, NFTs, and discord roles as rewards.

PARTNERS & PERKS
As always, detailed guides and wellsprings of info and alphas can be found in the LAB/on the discord server. We highly recommend checking out each relevant “perks channel”… I personally continue to write and publish mini-guides, summaries, insights and etc… while forwarding all major updates and maximization recommendations in each channel.
Of course, there is always a wealth of community wisdom, resources, assistance, and other goodness consistently flowing through these channels. I also now have the ability to “pin” posts to channels… expect a vastly improved experience moving forward (:

REALIZED PERKS:
Sunrise - Early this month we saw the release of the Sunrise airdrop checker and claim process. All eligible parties had ~6 days to complete the claim process.
- We also got more clarity on the future direction of the project, and news of some pretty major integrations (USDrise from Noble, etc.) and further perks (see below for “Golden Egg NFT” news!).
- The base $RISE allocation ended up being 56.837558 $RISE PER MS, with many Scientists receiving a great deal more thanks to their participation in testnet, community initiatives, etc.

AXONE - For those who participated in the “Agentic Airdrop Campaign”, tokens were airdropped directly to your wallet at TGE/Mainnet launch on July 8th. All Mad Scientists got extra tokens as the top NFT community in the competition… which was then doubled again <3
The team has kept their word to the letter, and has been very transparent & forthcoming with their terms and vision All things considered, I remain pretty darn stoked on this one (:
- All categories (aside from Liquidity and Community pool) have a vesting period, which began at TGE.
- $AXONE is currently usable for staking and “internal coordination”.
- KOLs and Genesis recipients received the best terms of all. We also believe that it was mighty generous of them to fund everyone with unlocked gas money, enabling recipient staking on day one. Traditionally, this “hidden perk” has been reserved for early investors and VCs… but AXONE is built different.

The vault manager has assured me that the (somewhat painful) July experiments have successfully concluded… and after a radical period of trust building, stress testing, shit checking, etc… they are integrating the hard-gained wisdom and returning to fundamentals.

Since this edition is already proving to be much longer than I ultimately wanted, I am simply going to use this section to solicit feedback this time… and to attempt to invoke the wisdom of battle-tested MAD Community Crowd-sourcing… Is there something specific that y’all would like me to focus on/prioritize here or in other sections?
